Anyone who’s been paying attention recently may have noticed that in the last couple of weeks I’ve picked up two new pairs of shoes: the American Rag flats I’ve been wearing all over the place, and the boots I reviewed yesterday.
I never thought of myself as much of a shoe person–I have lots of comfort and fit issues, and in the past was always happy to stick with running shoes for all my needs. Thanks partially to Tia and her burgeoning shoe lust, though, I’ve started to pay more attention to what’s going on in the shoe world, and you know what? There are some really cute shoes out there. I know! I couldn’t believe it either! So my shoe collection has expanded a little bit, and a little bit more. (Though some of those shoes will be put to the test and potentially chucked in Stuff Jewish Girls Like’s new Use It Or Lose It challenge.)
Anyhow, I’m not going to be buying any more shoes for a little while–and when I do it probably won’t be over the internet–but it’s fun to fantasize about the styles I’d be picking up for fall and winter if I had unlimited space and money.

Miz Mooz’s Amelia boots have been on my fantasy wishlist for absolute ages, ever since I saw Kasmira wearing them all over the place on What I Wore 2Day. That olive green! The buttons! Plus, the name makes them dear to me, for reasons that may be more obvious to some of you than to others. Sadly, the 13″ circumference is far too small for me to even dream of fitting over my calves, so on the fantasy wishlist they’ll stay.

Max Collection flats tend to pop up a lot on my eBay and random internet searches for bright flats, and the candy colors totally charm me, as a bright-color-loving person; most online reviews say they’re very cheaply made and fall apart easily, though, which turns me off of them, even at the $10 price point.

When these Qupid flats came up on Pinterest (yes, I finally succumbed, and it’s just as life-sucking as I feared), I had A Moment. I’ve mostly avoided buying them because, well, I just bought a new pair of flats, but also because I don’t find fuzzy shoes super appealing. I know lots of people love suede and velvety shoes, but I worry about them staining or getting dirty easily. Those purples are gorgeous, though.

Okay, I know practically everybody and their mother have gushed about these Anthropologie heels, but come on! Bookbinder! The stamping on the heels! It was practically meant to be, except Anthropologie’s prices are way out of my league.

Hnnnnng. Look. Look at that teal! I’m having another Moment. Again, these probably wouldn’t work with my non-standard-size calves, but that doesn’t stop me from fanning myself over these Seychelles. So very, very teal. I need to go lie down for a minute. (I’m blaming you for making me a teal convert, Tito.)
What shoes have you been eying lately?
